Sheldon Productions is Flying Fisherman Productions
Since the early 1970s, Pat Sheldon, owner of Flying Fisherman Inc. has produced all aspects of sportfishing and related subjects for national and international broadcast and cable television networks. Based in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys since 1972, he formed Sheldon Productions as the company that would deliver more than 275 programs that have aired through 2002. His collection of work has earned 22
national awards along with numerous other accolades. Over the past few years his television projects have taken the name of Flying Fisherman Television Productions because of his well-known association with Flying Fisherman, Inc.

Key West Blue Marlin Challenge
The Drambuie On Ice -- Key West Blue Marlin Challenge is a half-hour, two-time national award winning television special that takes viewers inside the event. With $240,000 in cash and prizes available, qualified participants are well equipped with tens of millions of dollars worth of horse power and fishing equipment.
Set In Key West, Florida, the tournament celebrates Hemingway and his passion for Sportfishing. A twist on "The Old Man And The Sea" occurs as a 15-year-old boy wins the tournament, catching and releasing a 375 pound blue marlin from a 27-foot boat.

The Hemingway Challenge
The Drambuie "On Ice" - Key West Blue Marlin Tournament. This half hour program was shot in July, 2000 and features the "On Ice," a $9 million sportfishing yacht. Stories about how Hemingway was rescued at sea by an old Cuban fisherman are told by Key West local captains and how the famous novel "The Old Man and the Sea" came about. The show stopper is aerial footage of a Blue Marlin on the hook and being released. Available through www.keywestmarlin.com.
