Flying Fisherman® Adds New Quantum Sunglasses

Islamorada, Florida Keys, November 2008 – Flying Fisherman® has added six new models to its Action Angler Collection for 2009. As the collection has grown, so has the company’s reputation for offering quality polarized eyewear at an affordable price. All 28 styles in the Action Angler Series are priced under $30 retail – always a good value, but even more so in today’s economy.

The Quantum is equipped with features perfect for fishing. The large wrap design has polarized side windows that not only provide great coverage, but also protect against side glare and wind. Recessed nose pads and adjustable temples insure a stay-put fit, and the temples also have slots to add your eyewear retainer. The lenses are a generous 62mm wide, and for a style with this much coverage, they’re lightweight at just 1.3oz. Flying Fisherman Adds New Rep Group and Expands Territories

New to the Flying Fisherman sales team is The Cullerton Company based in Warrenville, IL, and representing the company’s products in MI, WI, MN, IL, IN, ND, SD. “The Midwest has always been challenging for our distribution.” said company president Pat Sheldon. “We believe we’ve found the agency with the most comprehensive plan to help us do a better job”. Cullerton Company’s president Bill Cullerton said, “...we’re impressed with the Flying Fisherman line and glad to be a part of the sales team.”

Tim Bailey & Associates, who represents the Flying Fisherman line in the western US and Canada, will expand its coverage in January 2009 to include Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Arkansas. “This will give us the edge we need for a new approach to the TALO states”, said Linda Sheldon, Flying Fisherman VP. “We’ll be sharpening the focus on both of the Midwest and TALO territories and kicking things off with some special marketing projects and programs.”

Flying Fisherman® Adds New Styles To Action Angler Series

Islamorada, Florida Keys, August 2008 – Flying Fisherman® has added several new models to its Action Angler Collection of eyewear for 2009. This popular series now offers over 25 styles, all with retails under $30 US.

The sleek new Breaker is a small to medium sized semi-rimless frame with unisex appeal and a sharp wrap-around design look that integrates non-slip nose pads and grip-tip temples for a comfortable fit. The sporty, polycarbonate frames are lightweight and built for function with and 8 base lenses and temple slots in the temple tips that will accommodate the attachment of eyewear retainers. Flying Fisherman® Adds New Styles To Action Angler Series

This series now offers a varied selection of 28 models with retails under $30 US. The Cape Horn is a large wrap frame with full wrap around coverage and excellent protection from the elements. They include comfort grip nose pads and extra long temple pads so they stay in place. This contemporary style has a lens size of 63mm and an 8 base curve. Several frame and lens combinations are offered, including Matte Black frames with AcuTint™ Smoke/Blue Mirror lenses, Dark Tortoise frames with AcuTint™ Amber/ Green Mirror lenses, Shiny Black frames with AcuTint™ Smoke lenses, Dark Tortoise frames with AcuTint™ Amber, and Matte Black frames with AcuTint™ Yellow-Amber lenses. Boater’s World Buyer Wins Florida Keys Fishing Trip at ICAST

Las Vegas, Nevada, July 2008 - The 2008 ICAST Show was a winner for Nancy Rodriguez, buyer for Boaters World in Beltsville, MD. While attending the ICAST show, Nancy entered a drawing to win a sport fishing trip in the Florida Keys and won the prize package valued at $3,700. “I’m so excited…I’ve never won anything in my whole life” said Nancy, upon hearing she was the lucky winner.

The promotion was sponsored by Flying Fisherman, Fin-Nor, Flambeau, Cheeca Lodge Resort and Spa, and Ghost Hunter Charters. It created somewhat of a buzz at the show and increased traffic in the Flying Fisherman booth and other participating sponsors. With no purchase necessary, attendees were eager to enter the drawing, with 484 entrants trying for the prize.

The 4 day, 3 night stay in Islamorada includes luxury accommodations at the world famous Cheeca Lodge Resort and Spa, backcountry fishing with Ghost Hunter Charters, a selection of Fin-Nor, Flambeau and Flying Fisherman products and hopefully…a boat load of great stories from Nancy, about her trip to the Sport Fishing Capitol of the World.

Flying Fisherman® Adds To Accessories Collection
New Case And Sunglasses Retainers

Islamorada, Florida Keys, July 2008 - Flying Fisherman® has introduced some new sunglasses accessories for 2009, including it’s new hard shell sunglass case for maximum protection of your polarized eyewear. Designed fit all 46 Flying Fisherman® styles, the zipper case prevents damage to your sunglasses and has a handy Velcro® belt loop and a clip for attaching it to your belt or a bag. The new case will be included with all Master Angler Collection Glass Lens styles beginning January 2009, and can also be purchased separately for $6.95 retail.

Flying Fisherman®’s line of neoprene soft strap retainers featuring gamefish graphics are a popular accessory, and several new designs will be added for 2009. The eyewear retainers are made from ultra-soft neoprene material for comfort and weather wear, and attach to the temples of your glasses to keep your sunglasses secured. They’re available in solid black or brown, or screen printed with a variety of game fish graphics. The new designs are Marlin, Bottle Nose Dolphin, Sea Turtle, Green Camo and Blue Camo. Flying Fisherman® Expands Action Angler Collection
Premium Triacetate Lenses With AcuTint™ Polarized Lens System

Islamorada, Florida Keys, July 2008 – Flying Fisherman® adds several new styles to its Action Angler Collection for 2009. The popular line of fishing eyewear has earned a reputation for quality and value and offers anglers 28 polarized styles, all under $30. The Tempest is a small to medium sized polycarbonate frame with two-tone color for great looks, and grip-tip temple pads for a great fit. Premium triacetate lenses have an 8 base curve, measure 60mm and a weight of only .8 oz. Frame colors are Black -Gray with AcuTint™ Smoke lenses with a blue mirror treatment or Black & Grey frames with AcuTint™ Amber lenses and a green mirror treatment. Suggested retail is $27.95.

The Quantum is a large wrap-around polycarbonate frame style with polarized side windows, recessed nose pads and wire core, adjustable temple tips with slots for adding a snap-on eyewear retainer. The 8 base curved lenses measure 62mm wide and for a frame offering this much coverage, it weighs just 1.3oz. Capacity Crowd Shows Up for Product Giveaway

April 23, 2008, Islamorada, Florida Keys – Bass Pro Shop’s World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada was the scene of the Great Flying Fisherman / Fin-Nor Giveaway on April 23rd. More than $15,000 in fishing gear, eyewear and apparel was awarded to 20 winners from over 1,250 participants that entered at locations throughout the Florida Keys. Guests that drew the winning entries included IGFA Hall Of Famer Stu Apte, along with many other local dignitaries including World Wide store manager Doug Berry, Fin-Nor’s Vice President Ed Bedore, and Flying Fisherman President Pat Sheldon. The drawing was one of many co-promotions the two companies will be launching over this summer/fall season.

Flying Fisherman is promoting its new “Master Angler” collection of high end, ground and polished glass polarized eyewear, in conjunction with Fin-Nor’s upscale product line being introduced this year. Future promotions will include in-store discount coupon incentives, trade show cross promotions, on-line opportunities, bi-annual national catalog mailings and radio station giveaways in select markets.

Flying Fisherman Introduces New Line Of Can Coolers

Islamorada, Florida Keys, April 2008. Flying Fisherman is introducing a new series of neoprene pocket can coolers featuring game fish designs from the company’s original art collection. Seven saltwater and six freshwater designs make up the series, representing popular game fish in all markets, so there’s something there for everyone.

The can coolers come on 12-piece clip strip displays of any design, as well as assorted saltwater or assorted freshwater strips. They’re also offered in a somewhat unique package idea -- assorted 6-packs. The blister packs have 6 assorted fresh water or salt water designs. “The 6- packs are a hit. You buy beer or soda in a 6 pack...why not coolie cups to go with them”, said Pat Sheldon, company president. “The packaging is an eye catcher on the shelf, not something you see every day, and it’s a practical purchase.”

The pocket coolers are made of extra thick neoprene for best thermal results...both hot and cold. They’re durable, machine washable and fold flat to fit in your pocket, tackle box or bag.

Islamorada, Florida Keys ~ February 2008 – Local polarized sunglasses manufacturer, Flying Fisherman, is promoting its high end Master Angler collection of polarized eyewear in conjunction with legendary reel manufacturer, Fin-Nor. Clear Channel Radio stations throughout the Florida Keys, a party to the promotion, will be announcing the details of the event called the Great Flying Fisherman/Fin-Nor Giveaway. After nearly 2 years of field testing in the Florida Keys, Flying Fisherman has introduced several new styles featuring a salt water resistant mirrored lens coating. New for 2008 is the Phoenix …a lightweight, wrap around sunglass with TAC polarized lenses, two-tone frames, and non-slip nose and temple pads. The Phoenix is available in three frame/lens options: matte black with smoke/blue mirror lenses, matte silver with smoke/blue mirror, or dark tortoise with amber/green mirror lenses. Suggested retail is $24 US.

The Phoenix is one of 30 styles offered in Flying Fisherman’s Action Angler Series of polarized eyewear featuring TAC or triacetate cellulose lenses...a newer lens technology formulated for superior visual clarity.
